Commutes into Tampa's employment centers are typically a matter of minutes rather than hours, though growth has added traffic to key corridors. Regional transit is limited, so the community remains car-dependent, with driving the primary mode for most trips.

The community's many lakes, including Lake Elizabeth and Lake Brooker, support boating, fishing, and lakefront living, and the wooded, semi-rural landscape lends itself to walking, cycling, and equestrian use on larger properties.
